Nike Basketball is paying homage to one of Scottie Pippen’s most memorable moment in his career, the iconic dunk over New York Knicks center Patrick Ewing. As a tribute to Game 6 of the 1994 Eastern Conference Semifinals, there’s a special edition Nike Air More Uptempo Knicks colorway scheduled to release this September.
The shoe can also be referenced as “The Dunk,” that comes dressed in a mix of White, Deep Royal Blue and Team Orange. Featuring a White leather upper with Royal Blue overlays, Orange accents, and the number “33” embroidery on the heels. But the highlight of the shoe is seen on the insoles, which displays a silhouette of Pippen dunking over Ewing. Even though Pippen was wearing the Air Flight Swift during the dunk, Nike still plans to pay tribute to that moment with the Uptempos.
